Message from Angela:
I have worked in the pet care industry for over 15 years. I have been providing and advocating pet massage in Hawaii for the last 7 years. I am also an instructor with the Northwest School of Animal Massage, offering classes throughout the islands of Hawaii.
When our first dog was diagnosed with a degenerative neurological condition at age 11, I was very upset, because there was nothing medically we could do to fix the problem. Researching alternative options for improving her comfort and keeping her moving led me to animal massage. I earned my certifications, and at the same time developed a passion to offer options to pet parents just like us, who want desperately to help their pets in some way, but not knowing how. With massage as a tool, I've helped both our own dogs, and countless other dogs in Hawaii feel so much better! I've seen dog with ligament tears (both with and without surgical repair), arthritis, hip dysplasia, cancer, degenerative myelopathy, congestive heart failure, back pain, and neurological disorders. Massage isn't a substitute for veterinary care, but I feel strongly about working with your dogs' veterinarian to develop an individualized massage plan that keeps your pet as healthy and comfortable as possible. The most important aspect of my work is to improve your pet's life, so that you can enjoy many happy years together!
